Scholarship Objectives
1. Attract talent by rewarding those who have done exceptionally well in their eligibility qualifying examination.
2. Attract talent by rewarding those who have exceptional achievements in areas other than academics.
3. Make education affordable for those who were born with disabilities or acquired disabilities after birth.
4. Serve society by making higher education affordable for those who have been serving the country.
Social Scholarships
1. 50 % Scholarships on tuition fees to the wards and siblings of Martyred Personnel of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Central and State paramilitary forces and Police.
2. 20 % Scholarship on tuition fee to the wards of Serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Central and State paramilitary forces and police, NCC.
3. 20 % Scholarship on tuition fees to students who are physically challenged at the time of applying.
4. 30 % Scholarship on tuition fees to the Girl applicants.
5. 20% Scholarship on tuition fees for the wards of Health and Hospital frontline workers.
6. 100% Scholarship on tuition fees for the wards of Padmashree, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Bharat Ratna and
National Award winners.
7. 50% Scholarship on tuition fee for the students of North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur,
Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
Merit Scholarships
1. Merit Scholarships are based on the aggregate percentage a student has scored in his qualifying examination.

2. Applicants who have topped in CBSE or State Boards of Education or IB or ICSE or Cambridge Board in 2022 are entitled to 50% scholarships.
3. Students who have scored minimum 80 percentile and above in UGAT, JEE, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, LSAT, CLAT, SAT, GMAT, NEET, GATE, NDA, NIFT, UPSC, CGPSC or any other State PSC Examination are entitled to 50 % Scholarship on tuition fee. Students having scored 70 to 79.99 percentile in above said are entitled to 30% scholarship on tuition fee.
Achievers Scholarships
1. Applicants who have participated in National, Asian, or International level-recognised sports events as a part of a team or solo events are entitled to a 50% scholarship on tuition fees.
2. Applicants who have participated in State level-recognised sports in a team or solo events are entitled to a 30% scholarship on tuition fees.
3. Applicants who have participated and have secured positions or awards in recognised National or International level Cultural Events or those who have participated in TV reality shows such as Indian Idol, India’s Got Talent, Dance India Dance, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Pageants, KBC are entitled to a 30% scholarship on tuition fee.
4. Applicants having their names listed in the Limca Book of Records, Golden Book of records, or Guinness Book of records can also be considered for Scholarships on case to case basis.
Siblings Scholarships
1. This scholarship is applicable only for direct blood relations of the students currently studying (admitted in the last Academic Session 2021-22 or before) in any program of Kalinga University.
2. 20% scholarship is offered in Tuition Fee to the students taking admission in Academic Session 2022-2023.
3. This scholarship is valid only till the completion of the course of the elder sibling, i.e. previously admitted current student.
Social Media Scholarships
Applicants having a strong presence in social media, especially knowledge dissemination in the area of Art, Music, Social Work, Technology and Culture, can be offered up to 20% scholarship on tuition fees; these scholarships will be decided by the University Scholarship Committee.
Innovation and Research Scholarships
Applicants having published research papers, books, startups, technology, or product innovation can be offered up to 50% scholarships on tuition fees; these scholarships will be decided by the University Scholarship Committee.
Other Scholarships
Wards of Kalinga University Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff are entitled to a 50% scholarship on tuition fees.
Terms and Conditions
1. This scholarship is applicable for the entire course duration.
2. Scholarship is applicable only on the tuition fee.
3. The student shall maintain a minimum of 75% attendance as per state rules and shall appear in both CT in every Semester/ Year and the scholarship will be withdrawn if not maintained.
4. A student can avail of only one scholarship.
5. Once availed, a student cannot change the category.
6. Number of scholarship seats in each category is limited and will be granted on First Come First Serve Basis.
7. The scholarship shall be immediately withdrawn if the student fails in any subject in any semester or year.
8. The scholarship shall be withdrawn if the recipient does not maintain a decent code of conduct and is found to be indulging in ragging, eve teasing or any unlawful activity.
9. The scheme is applicable to Indian Nationals only.
10. The above-mentioned schemes are valid only for the students taking admission in the academic year 2022-2023 for Undergraduate & Post Graduate regular on-campus programs.
11. KalingaUniversity reserves the right to award or withdraw the Scholarship Scheme in part or total at any point in time.
12. Burden of proof lies with the applicant.
